TETON VILLAGE, WY

The Hostel is located in Teton Village at the base of the Jackson Hole Mountain resort, twelve miles northwest of the town of Jackson, and one mile south of the Moose-Wilson Road Entrance to Grand Teton National Park. Teton Village has two short access roads off the WY-390/Moose-Wilson Road, from which you can find us in the 'Mid-Village' section on the south side of Teton Village. Don't always trust your GPS once you reach Teton Village, as they often will take you to the 'Base Village' section on the north side of Teton Village. So if you see the Snake River Lodge or the Alpenhof Lodge, just drive past the Jackson Hole tram building, then the Mangy Moose, until you see the Mid-Village parking lot on the south side of Teton Village. If the road starts climbing you've gone too far, so turn around, and head back down the hill. You can always call for help with directions.

To get directions for a short cut via Moose, click on the link for "Driving Options", then click the "Shortest Distance" button, then click the "Get Directions" button. Please note that while the road is called the "Moose-Wilson Road" on maps, the brown park sign with white letters where you turn reads "Wilson Road". A national park pass is not required to go south on the Moose-Wilson Road towards Teton Village. A pass is required when going north during daylight hours; however, during the evening and at night, you may proceed north up the Moose-Wilson Road without having to show a pass.

From Salt Lake City, UT

*To avoid Teton Pass's 10% grade, remain on Route 26 through Alpine, Hoback Junction, and into Jackson. Take Route 22 West out of Jackson, go 5 miles, then turn right on Route 390/Moose-Wilson Road, go seven miles to Teton Village.

From Cheyenne, WY taking I-80 West:

From the Airport:

Northern Route, ~ 20miles (this route closes for winter on November 1, and opens again May 1)

1. North on 89.

2. Left at Moose Junction

3. In a half mile, past the Craig C. Thomas Visitors’ Center, turn left onto the Moose-Wilson Road at the sign that says Wilson Road

4. Go 9 miles. A 3 mile section of this road is a gravel road.

5. Pass through the ranger booth. A park pass is not necessary going south, but will be later when you re-enter the park.

5. Go 1 mile, then turn right onto the second access road into Teton Village, which is Teton Village Road.

6. Follow the signs for 'Mid-Village'

7. The Hostel is on the right side of the Mid-Village parking lot, across from The Inn at Jackson Hole.

If you see the Snake River Lodge or the Jackson Hole tram building, you're on the opposite side

          of Teton Village. Just turn around and drive past the Jackson Hole tram building and the Mangy Moose,
          then past the Wells Fargo bank and the gas station. You will see another parking lot, with the Hostel
          on the right.

Southern Route, ~ 30miles

1. South on 89.

2. In downtown Jackson at the town square, turn right onto Broadway. Go about 2 miles.

3. Turn right on WY-22 toward Teton Village. Go 5 miles.

4. Turn right on 390/Moose-Wilson Road toward Teton Village. Go 7 miles.

5. Turn left onto first access road into Teton Village, which is Teton Village Road.

6. Follow the signs for 'Mid-Village

7. The Hostel is on the right side of the Mid-Village parking lot, across from The Inn at Jackson Hole.

If you see the Snake River Lodge or the Jackson Hole tram building, you're on the opposite side

of Teton Village. Just turn around and follow McCollister Drive back around past the Wells Fargo bank

and the gas station.
